Building Outdoor Storage Bench

Sep 19th

Outdoor Storage Bench space as much as indoors to stow shoes, play equipment, tools or gardening supplies. You can double your outdoor storage device as a bench. Create a two-in-one storage site that will store lots of things and provide extra outdoor seating as well. If you do the bench yourself, only you have to pay for the cost of the work, which is generally much less than the cost of a pre-purchased mail likes style.

Instructions

Form four planks of 48 and 20-inch 1-by-3 timber in two Outdoor Storage Bench frames. Center a third piece of 20-inch timber over the center of the longer planks. Screw together with two 1 5/8 inch wood screws recessed at each end of the 20-inch planks. About two 20 to 22 inch 3/4 inch thick plywood on each end of the frame to form a box of plywood and frames. These plywood pieces fill the 3/4 inch gap between the long side plywood and the frame. Secure in place as you made the larger plates of plywood.

About two 20 to 22 inch 3/4 inch thick plywood on each end of the frame to form an Outdoor Storage Bench of plywood and frames. These plywood pieces will fill the three-quarter inch gap between the long side’s plywood and the frame. Secure in place as you made the larger plates of plywood. Place sheets of 22-by-49.5-inch plywood over the top of the box – which will be bottom – and secure it to the frame and plywood box with 5/8 inch screws driven every 5 to 6 inches around the circumference. Invert the box so the base is now on the bottom.
